GROTESQUE CLAIMS BY GOVERNMENT. ALLIES' HOPES OF SUPREMACY SHATTERED. (Received June 12, !) a.m.) LONDON, June il. The latosl grotesque German explanation of the events leading to the Jutland battle is contained in an American United Press wireless message from Berlin to New York, which says:'— "The (ieruian Admiralty is disinclined to believe that it was Sir John Jellieoe's intention to send the British Fleet to the Baltic in order to complete the blockade of Germany. Germany officers believe thai the English Fleet finally succeeded in getting out of English harbours into the North Sea and Avas defeated. The victory is regard by Germany as dispelling the Allies' expectation that lliev could defeat Germany's Fleet."
