CROQUET.
CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT. THE DRAW. A start will be made with the Canterbury Croquet Association 'a fifth annual tournament on Boxing Day morning. Several New Zealand championships will be decided, in addition to local championships and handicaps. The entries are
quite as numerous as usual, and visitors will be present from Wellington, Ashburton, and Sumner. Mr K. H. Izard, of Wellington, who won the championship cup and the championship doubles last year, will not be a competitor, as he is away with the Expeditionary Force. The tournament takes place at the grounds of the United Bowling, Tennis, and Croquet Club, Hagley Park. Play commences at 10 a.m. sharp.
