DIAMOND HARBOUR CONFERENCE.
The Y.W.C.A. Conference at Diamond Barbour is still proceeding. The Rev. George Jupp on Tuesday commenced a series of studies on '' The Manhood of the Master," and the Technical Council was taken, as usual, by Miss Helen F. Barnes, the national secretary. Model schemes " for effective committee work occupied the first part of the time, the programme for religious work was outlined, and the matter of providing a healthy social life for girls considered. Stress was laid on the fact that the safeguarding of youth meant safety to the individuals ami the nation. The mission studies on India, led by Miss Nina T. Brentnall, 8.A., were of great interest, as the lady in question is able to give first-hand experiences,,havsr- v ing lived in India for four years. Miss Brentnall's ad jesses gained in attractiveness by reason of the many native curios, pictures, etc., which, she exhibited. Interesting statistics as to the number of Y.W.C. Associations in India were also given. In the Calcutta Association alone
