CIVIC

SPLENDID PROGRAMMEE Fifteen entertainment interludes, with more than 3G stars and featured players taking part, make up Paramount’s great entertainment film festival, “Paramount on Parade,” which is now in its last days at the Civic Theatre. Many of the interludes are in full technicolour, and they include comedy skits, song-and-dance offering-s, dramatic bits. Eleven Paramount directors collaborated in making this super-en-tertainment. In addition, there are two or three sound gazettes, and some delightful music by the Civic Concert Orchestra, under the baton of Mr. Howard Moody. They play “Pique Dame” (Von Suppe) and a half-an-hour of music from 7.30 p.m. During the musical session solos are played on the Civic grand organ by Mr. Gunnar Paulsen.
