MEETING OF BOARD According to a communication from th© Auckland City Council received by the Mount Roskill Road Board lafi evening, the boundary roads between the two areas are in a bad condition and require immediate attention. The City Council, the letter stated, had loan moneys available for the work to the extent of £2,290. and the board was asked to find a similar sum so that the necessary repairs could b-* expedited. Mr. S. 1. GoodaJl. who presided in the absence of the chairman, Mr. E. F. Jones, contended that the gazetted regulations dealing with these roads were out of date and required revision. In any case, he said that the board would have no funds until the money from the quarry loan account became a vailable and on his motion the question was deferred for further consideration. The Onehunga Borough Council drew the board's attention to the dilapidated condition of the Seddon Memorial at the Royal Oak and asked if th© board w’ould contribute onethird of the cost of renovation, which was estimated at £SO. The board’s treasurer reported that no exceptions had been taken to the accounts. The board passed a vote in appreciation of the services of th© clerk, Mr. J. Warren, and the staff.
