HIGH SCHOOL DANCE
ORIGINAL EVENING AT OPOTIKI The Opotiki District High School Old Pupils’ Association held its monthly d.nnco in the Farmers’ Social Room recently. The hall was cleverly decorated to represent a barn, where members and friends were invited to attend as disreputably dressed as possible. Lanterns, buggy lamps and' candles lit the hall, which was strewn with hay, chafe and clumps of vegetables. The popular Semla Orchestra supplied the dance music, and everyone entered into the spirit of the evening. An appropriate dance was the lancers, the music being played by Mr. A. Dickinson on the accordoon, and a typical supper was served. Members of the committee present were:—Misses Klsie Armstrong, Joy Kelly and Jane Todd.
