RICHMOND RD. EXTENSION. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Auckland Transport Board (hereinafter called “The Board”) to apply to His Excellency the Governor-General-in-Council for an Order-in-Council under the provisions of the “Tramways Act, 1908,” and its Amendments (unless forbidden by the ratepayers in manner prescribed by the said Act) to authorise the extension of the Tramways known as the Auckland Electric. Tramways. The particulars of the proposed undertaking are as follow: (a) The construction of a. double line of tramway for the existing tramway in Ponsonby Road at its intersection with Richmond Road along Richmond Road. Richmond Hill to a point in Richmond Avenue near the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Francis StVeet, the tramways to be worked by means of overhead electric traction known as the overhead trolley system with uninsulated return in the same manner as the present electric tramways in the City and Suburbs of Auckland. (b) Plans, longitudinal sections, and cross sections showing the nature of the work and the line of construction, and copies of the proposed Order-in-Council are deposited for public inspection in the office of the Auckland Transport Board, at the corner of Customs Street and Albert Street, in the City of Auckland, and may be seen there during office hours. TIIE AUCKLAND TRANSPORT BOARD having obtained the necessary statutory consent of the Local Government Loans Board HEREBY GIVES NOTICE iii pursuance of Section 10 of the “Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926” : (1) TI-lAT the Auckland Transport Board proposes to engage in the following undertaking, viz.:— The extensions of the Auckland Electric Tramways from Mount Albert to Avondale and purchase of land and other works incidental thereto. (2) THAT the Auckland Transport Board being unable to provide the funds for such work out of its ordinary revenue, proposes to raise a Special Loan not exceeding £58,400, and to be known as “the Mt. AlbertAvondale Extension Loan, 1930.” (3) THAT the said Loan will be repayable at the end of Twenty (20) years from the date or respective dates of raising the same, with provision for a Sinking Fund of not less than Three Pounds (£3) per centum per (4) THAT the proposed security for the said Loan shall be a Special Rate of l-49th of Id in the £ on the capital value of all Rateable Property in the Board’s District. <o) THAT the Auckland Transport Board proposes to pay out of such Loan such costs, charges and expenses as the Auckland Transport Board may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such Loan, but no portion of the Interest or Sinking Fund.
