MOORHOUSE’S WITHDRAWAL Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. The action of L. J. Moorhouse, who was selected to represent New’ Zealand at the Empire Games in Canada, in stating at the last minute that he would not be available, w-as criticised by delegates to the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Swiming Association last evening. Several delegates said that Moorhouse’s action had created considerable awkwardness, and the centre should have an explanation. It was resolved that Moorhouse be written to, asking him to submit an explanation in writing.
