RAILWAY FREIGHTS
"SHOULD NOT BE AFFECTED BY POLITICS’’ STRATFORD OPINION Press Association STRATFORD. Today. The Chamber of Commerce last evening decided to place the following views before - the railway commission: “That freight charges should be in strict relation to service rendered: that no political consideration should influence railway freight charges oi fares; that railway freights should not be used for protective purposes.” The opinion of the meeting was that if these principles were put into operation the railways could be made to pay.
