EARLY MORNING FIRE
OUTBREAK AT OTAHUHU A six-roomed wooden house In Nikau Street, Otahuhu, owned and occupied by Mr. J. K. Boswell, was considerably damaged by fire at 1.30 a.m. today. Miss Boswell, who occupied a room in the front of the house, was awakened by smoko and the crash of falling crockery. She immediately gave the alarm to the other members of the family. Tho Otahuhu Brigade was on the scene within a few minutes and soon had tho fire under control, but not before three rooms and the wash-house in the rear of the building were completely destroyed. The Homes travelled along the rafters and ceiling of the whole house, which was consider-
ably damaged by smoke and water. The house was insured for £SOO and the furniture for £SOO in the South British Insurance Company.
