COAL FREIGHTS LOWER
STATE CONCESSIONS IN NEW SOUTH WALES ASSISTING THE INDUSTRY SYDNEY, Friday. The Premier of New South Wales, Mr. T. R. Bavin, announced in the Legislative Assembly today the extent of the Government’s concessions to assist the coal industry. Freight rates will be reduced by Is 6d a ton for coal for local trade and 2s 6d a ton for coal for export.
