AUCKLAND CHORAL SOCIETY

TO PRESENT “ELIJAH” The Auckland Choral Society have announced their first concert of the 1930 season. This concert will be given in the Town Hall on Thursday week, June 12, and Mendelssohns sublime oratorio “Elijah” will be presented with special soloists and a full chorus orchestra under the baton of Mr. Colin Muston. For the presentation of “Elijah” the society has engaged Madame Dorothy Cronin, F.T.C.L., to sing the soprano solos. Miss Irene Frost will be the contralto. Miss Lillian Woods mezzosoprano, Mr. Roger Errington tenor, and Mr. Barry Coney baritone. The box plan opens at Strong’s on Monday week.
