“PUTTIN’ ON THE RITZ” The big" attraction now at the Plaza Theatre, “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” with its many spectacular stage settings of Broadway revues, afforded the stage decorator excellent opportunity to let his imagination and creative ability run riot. Harry Richman’s thrilling voice is heard in several songs written especially for the picture by Irving Berlin. Joan Bennett plays the feminine lead opposite Richman, and other prominent members of the cast are Lily an Tashman, Aileen Pringle, James Gleason. Richard Tucker, Purnell Pratt. Eddie Kane, and others. Edward Sloman directed. A full programme of talkie supports is also shown.
