WHANGAREI WINTER SHOW

ENTRIES IN CHOPPING EVENTS From Our Own Correspondent WHANGAREI, Monday. The secretary of the Whangarei Winter Show advises that the chopping events have filled well, and the prospects of the Show being a success are very bright, providing the fine weather which has prevailed for the past few days, continues. Entries in the chopping events include noted axemen from Auckland and as far South as Taumarunui. The fourteen-inch standing chop has drawn a field of 25 competitors and in the underhand chop, 24 will face the starter.
