1928 FIGURE ECUPSED TOTAL OF 1,230,000 CASES Press Association WELLINGTON, Monday. Exports of apples and pears from the Dominion this year will establish a new record, eclipsing the “million case’’ season of 1928 by nearly a quarter of a million cases. The total for this season will approximate 1,237,000 cases, of which 160,000 cases will be absorbed by the South American market, and about 150,000 by Hamburg and Rotterdam. Unlike last year, there has been no delay in the shipment of the fruit, which has been taken as fast as it has reached Wellington, There are still about 116,000 cases to be shipped to the United Kingdom, but this quantity will be cleared by the end of this month. Three shipments totalling 56,200 cases are yet to go to South America, 11,000 by the Port Sydney, 22,200 by the Tasmania, and 23,000 by the Hororata.
