Hall's stable cams from Rapatoetoe lor schooling, the fir* to appear being the maiden jumper* Goofy and Carlaris. After completing two pony hurdles satisfactony they took on four bigger fences. Both shaped greenly at the start but improved when they settled down, and Goofy, especially, has the makings of a good hurdler. It was not their first acquaintance with the battens, for previously they had been out with the hunts. Later Kawini <R. Olive) had Quin* coma to accompany him over tbt steeplechase course, including the hill. Kawini made play all the way aid jumped in his usual clever style. Quincoma was tired at the end, but the:® was nothing wrong with his fencing. He took some jumps a bit big, but i; is only a question of experience and he will settle down. Respirator. Kawini and Walt**? made few' mistakes in negotiating four schooling hurdles. Mountain Guide (D. Craddock) went safely over six obstacles, jumpinc evenly. He has reached the stag* where he can be called an accomplished jumper. Tw inkier (J. Burgess) and the Sc. Amans gelding (D. Craddock) got to the end of two hurdles .satisfactorily. H. "Wiggins, who will motor through to Wanganui tomorrow, has been engaged for High Falutin', Joyspear and Moa Bird.
