NEW PLAYGROUND IN SOUTHERN ALPS.—-If a proposal before the Arthur's Pass Board comes into effect, a hut will be built near the lake in the Mt. B’limit basin for the use of climbers and picnickers. The lake, formed from melting snows, exists in the summer and autumn only, and is covered by snow in winter and spring.
