CRYSTAL PALACE, MT. EDEN
The clever comedian, Will Rogers, is the star of "They Had To Bee Paris,” the talkie now at the Crystal Palace Theatre. The story concerns the efforts of ms wife to secure a French marquis as a husband for their daughter. A reception is held. Representatives of the French nobility are invited and a Russian grand duke, and the comic tour do force of the film arrives when the American garage proprietor and the impoverished Russian meet accidentally; the husband, of course, is barred from attending the reception. They fraternise, have an excellent evening on rare French wines, and finally descend the stairs together, with Mr Rogers clad in a suit of armour. The film is a riot of laughs from start to finish, and Mr. Rogers is responsible for a comedy performance which can be chuckled over for hours. Miss Irene Rich, is his wife, Miss Marguerite Churchill and Mr. Owen Davis, his children, Miss Fifi Dorsay, is a highly conscientious entertainer.
