HOUSE BURNED DOWN
OCCUPANTS AWAY AT TIME Press Association HASTINGS, Today. A seven-roomed house adjoining lona College, Havelock North, owned and occupied by Mr. Selwyn Averill, was burned to the ground at nine o’clock last evening. Mr. and Mrs. Averill were absent, spending the evening with friends, and nothing was saved. The building was a mass of flames before the fire was discovered by neighbours.
