WANGANUI HACK SPRINT
The Wanganui Jockey Club hat decided that in the event of the number of acceptors for the Purua Hack Handicap on Thursday next, the opening day of the winter meeting, exceeding 23, which it the safety number for the six-fur. long barrier, the event will be divided into two separate races, with the totalisator opened twice. Tba stake-money will be increased to provide £135 for each race. At present 46 horses appear in the event. —PA.
