TAUMARUNUI CLUB
Lho one day’s racing yet to be completed by tlie Taumarunui Racing Club in place of the second day of the annual meeting December, abandoned on account of very bad weather, will be held at Taumarunui on Saturday fortnight, May 24.
An interesting programme has been drawn up by the club, the stake money of £865 being distributed as follows: Manunui Hack Hurdles, of £IOO. 11 miles: Maiden Handicap, of £IOO. 6 furlongs; President’s Handicap, of £l5O, 11 miles; Matiere Hack Handicap, of £IOO. 7 furlongs; Mata puna Hack Handicap, of £IOO, 5 furlongs; Rangaroa Flying Handicap, of £lls, G furlongs; Owhango Hack Handicap, of £IOO, 1 mile; Farewell Handicap, open, of £IOO, 1 mile.
Entries for all events close with th*: secretary. Mr. S. Sarah, Taumarunui or with Messrs. Blomfield and Company, High Street. Auckland tomorrow (Friday), at 5 p.m. The handicaps are due next Tuesday.
