DISPARITY BETWEEN N.Z. AND AUSTRALIA United P.A —Eg Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, Saturday. Australia is still suffering from the market's obsession that\Australian butter is markedly inferior to that of New Zealand. Prices of Australian butter have dropped by Ss a cwt. in a fortnight. Officials at Australia .House explain that this is principally owing to the heaviness of supplies and also because New Zealand butter, which has been held, is at present being released. Tho merchants, they say, are not losing the disconcerting habit of bidding a few shillings lower for Australian than for New Zealand butter. When New Zealand prices fall Australian go down in sympathy, though the quality is not lower.
