CLUB FORMED AT OKOROIRE A very enthusiastic meeting of ladies was held at the Okoroire Springs last Thursday evening, when it was decided to form a women’s bowling club, and to start play at once. An official opening of the club will take place later in the month, and it is claimed that it will be the first women’s club in the North Island. The following officers were elected:—President, Mrs. E. J. Brown: hon. secretary, Mrs. T. Mulholland. PUKEKOHE PUKEKOHE, Saturday. ( A game for the Northern Waikato Stars was played on the Pukekohe greens this afternoon. The challengers were a Buckland rink, but they were unsuccessful, the Pukekohe rink, which won the stars at the annual tournament on Labour Day, again retaining them.
