GARDEN FETE

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH GUILD The women of the Presbyterian Church, Tauranga, held their annual garden fete and sale in the church grounds on Wednesday afternoon, being favoured with fine weather. Stall-holders were:—Produce, Mrs. Collier and Miss Johnston; work, Mesdames Willcock-Allen and Batch; sweets, Mesdames Munro and Tatterson, Miss Candy; cakes, Mesdames Washer and Candy; flower, Miss Maltby; sports, Mrs. G. Maltby; Oriental work. Mrs. R. Wallace. The afternoon tea was managed by Mrs. Carswell and Mrs. Robertson. During the afternoon a programme of music and sketches was presented. The whole fete was under the direction of Mrs. Smyth, president of the Ladies’ Guild, and Mrs. Russel Wallace. secretary. The financial results were most satisfactory.
