BROUGHT DOWN A PLANE Locusts have reversed the order of things 1n the campaign that is being waged against them by airplanes in India, Egypt, Palestine, and other countries in the Near and Middle East. A pilot-instructor named Jones, of the Karachi Aero Club, was flying the dub s Moth machine when the engine suddenly failed and he had to make a forced landing. He had flown through a swarm of locusts v and it was found that one of the insects had been drawn into the air intake pipe, causing a stoppage of the air supply to the engine.
