STILL UNCONSCIOUS

BISHOP CLEARY REMAINS DANGEROUSLY ILL GREATEST ANXIETY FELT The condition of the Rt. Rev. Dr. H. W. Cleary, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, who lies dangerously ill at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital, is unchanged from yesterday. The deep coma into which he has fallen continues and the greatest anxiety is felt. Bishop Cleary’s sick room at the hospital has been visited by members of his clergy resident in and about the city, and Bishop Liston and Monsignor Cahill, V.G., have been in constant attendance. Prayers for Bishop Cleary’s recovery have been offered in churches throughout the diocese. An extensive tour of the East Coast last month impaired the bishop’s health, which was further affected by influenza and overstrain.
