BOWLERS ROLL UP
LARGEST TOURNEY IN NEW ZEALAND RECORD TEAM ENTRY The largest bowling tourney yet staged by any club in New Zealand commenced on the Carlton Bowling Club’s green today. Four large greens were used, and 192 bowlers, made up of representatives from all leading Auckland clubs, took part. Though the day opened with rain, the sun came out during the morning, and gave every promise of a good day’s sport. On other greens, Labour Lay was celebrated by special matches, club and inter-club games, and the bowling fraternity was well represented at all city and suburban clubs.
