ANOTHER NEW LINER
RANGITATA TO CALL HERE SIR JAMES MILLS ABOARD The second of the Xew Zealand Shipping Company's new passenger ships, tho Rangitata, will arrive at Auckland on her maiden voyage from Southampton on December 24. Built on the same lines as tho Rangitiki, which will make her first call here next week, the Rangitata is a large ami well-appointed vessel of just on 17,000 tons. The third ship of the trinity, the Rangitane, will arrive at Wellington on January 22. All three ships are named after important Xew Zealand rivers. A passenger aboard the Rangitata will bo Sir James Mills, founder and chairman of directors of the Union Shipping Company, who is coming out to visit relatives in Xew Zealand. Sir James, who has lived for some years in London, was last in Xew Zealand on the occasion of the Union Shipping Company's jubilee celebrations in 1923.
