A FAREWELL PARTY

COMPETITIONS AND DANCING A farewell party was given to Air. R. Town on Thursday evening, prior to his transfer to Rotorua, where he will be # taking up his official duties in the Railway Department. The party was given by Airs. A. Clow at her residence, Pupuke Road, Birkenhead. The evening was spent in games, competitions and dancing. Aliss V. Nickolls and Air. S. Tonar were the winners of the spot waltz, and Aliss V. Aloody and Air. R. Town won the Alonte Carlo dance. Airs. Clow received l<br guests wearing a gown of black georgette relieved with silver. Those also present included Airs. R. Town, wearing blue georgette with gold lace; Airs. R, Godfrey, ivory georgette and silver lace; Miss D. E. Davies, black lace frock with uneven hem; Aliss V. Nickolls, lemon georgette with uneven hem. Miss V. Town was in floral georgette, Aliss E. Ross, red crepe de chine with uneven hem; ATiss G. Utting, peach georgette, with gold-tipped frills and posy; Aliss I. Queenin, moonlight blue crepe de chine, with uneven hem: Aliss D. Thomas, floral crepe de chine with posy to tone; Miss P. Heath, eau de nil georgette, with uneven hem, and shawl to tone; Miss V. Aloody, powder blue georgette and silver lace; Aliss F. Rogers, sen green crepe de chine, with uneven hem; Aliss F. Wheeler, vieux rose corded velvet; Aliss P. Hazlewood. green crepe de chine and goTd lace. Afiss Quene Austin, printed crepe de chine, with hand-painted shawl: Aliss Waima Austin, floral georgette with uneven hem.
