REMUERA WEDDING

TULLE AND TAFFETA CHRISTIE—IBBOTSON The wedding of Mias Edith May Ibbotson, youngest daughter of the late Mr. W. Ibbotson and Mrs. K. W. Stewart, of Upland Road, Remuera, to Mr. Cyril Janies Christie, second son of the late M.r. J. Christie and Mrs. Christie, of Epsom, was celebrated at St. Aidan’s Church, Remuera, on October 21. The church had been tastefully decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride. The Rev 11. AV. Ward officiated, and Mr. r>. Cummings, of Napier, gave the bride away. The bride chose a frock of ivory taffeta with a full bouffant skirt, hemmed with tulle ornamented with taffeta rosettes, while the tight-fitting bodice was finished with a trail of orange blossom on the left shoulder. A veil of Brussels lace was also caught with, orange blossoms, and a white shower bouquet of roses and lilies cnsembie" alley completed a charming Tho , bridesmaids, the Misses Agnes and Essie Ibbotson, sisters of the wore frocks made alike of powder blue and pale pink georgette respectively, the skirts being flared and the bodices tucked with yokes of pastcl flowers. Tulle turbans trimmed AWth silver leaves and flowers to tone, and pink shower bouquets, made a dainty finish.

The bride’s niece, Miss Winkle Brown, as flowcrgirl, was frocked in pink georgette and net, with floral touches, and carried a basket of sweet peas and maidenhair fern. Mr. D. Christie, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr. C. Schrafft groomsman, Mr. Mark McDermott acting a.s usher. The Moulin Rouge, Remuera, was afterward the scene o a reception, at which Mrs. Stewart received her guests in a navy blue georgette suit, relieved with grey, and a navy bangkok hat, her bouquet being of red •roses and sweet peas.
