DEAD FISH IN STRAIT

SHOALS OF BLUE COD Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. When the Tamahine was about halfway across Cook Strait on the way to Picton on Thursday' she passed through a huge shoal of dead fish drifting across her bows in thousands at a time. Apparently they were blue cod. There may have been some submarine disturbance, but the Government seismologist is unable to throw any light on the subject. After the Murchison earthquake shoals of dead fish were encountered in the Tasman.
