OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Otahuhu Borough* Council Inst ■ evening decided to provide scoria and i weed-killer, at an estimated cost of j £l3 10s. to tho Tamaki Progressive League, for used on Mould and Gore | Streets. A donation of £2 2s was I received from the Auckland Rugby Union for the use of Sturges Park. The tender of A. C. Boniface for the supply of dog collars at 7d each was accepted. The building inspector reported that building permits to the value of £3,787 had been issued from Octobei 2 to October 17. The foreman reported that the relief work in Gore Street was nearing com- ; pletion. The excavation work was practically completed. At the end I of the wpek the number of men would ! I be reduced. The Auckland Electric-Rower Board i ! advised that it had decided to extend ! the time of street lighting from mid- | 1 night till 1 a.m. on all routes under I ( the jurisdiction of the Auckland 1 j Transport Board.
