MISSIONARIES ORDAINED
CEREMONY AT GREY LYNN To ordain two missionaries, Miss Findlay and Miss Reid, who arc leaving soon to join the Canton Villages Mission, a special meeting of the Auckland Presbytery was held in St. Peter’s Church, Grey Lynn, on Tluu-s----day evening. Both Miss Findlay and Miss Reid have been members of St. Peter’s since their early years and are members of the Presbyterian Bible Class movement. Miss Findlay has been appointed a regular member of the mission staff and Miss Reid will join the nursing staff ol' the mission hospital at Tong Chuen, Canton. The moderator, the Rev. W. D. Mor-rison-Sutherland, conducted the ordination service and the Rev. E. R. Harries preached the sermon. The missionaries were addressed by the Rev. G. Budd and the congregation bv the Rev. F. B. Barton and the Rev. W. Mawson, representing the Foreign Missions Committee. After the ordination service. the Rev. T. Halliday was inducted into his new office as manager of the Presbyterian social service work.
