AWARDS MAY BE LARGER (From Our Own Correspondent) PAEROA, Thursday. At the 31st annual meeting of the ! Hauraki A. and P. Association held j last evening, Mr. P. R. Hubbard, presii dent presiding, it was decided to hold | the next annual show on Thursday, ! December 5. The question of increasing the prize money was brought up by Mr. B. E. Veale as a means to attracting more entries. His proposal was referred to the executive committee with a recommendation that prize moneys in the cattle section be raised.
The following officers for the year were elected: —Patron, Mr. A. MSamuel, M.P.; president, Mr. P. R. Hubbard; vice-presidents,- Messrs. A. •T. Andrews. G. Buchanan, D. G. McMillan and B. E. Veale; chief stewards. Messrs. E. P. Fathers and D. Sheehan (horses), D. G. McMillan (cattle). A. J. Andrews (gate) and R. S. Carden (baby show): executive committee, tii© executive officers, chief stewards and Messrs. C. M. Gee. H. J. Hare, J. A. Reid and E. L. Shaw: general committee, the executive officers, the executive committee and Messrs. W. H. Alley, X. Beattie, E. A. Chester, G. P. de Castro, P. R. Henry, F. C. Hubbard, Rev. J. Lowden. Messrs. "\\ . Maclarn, H. A. Mills, J. Munro, A. F. Steedman, W. ID. Nicholas. C. X. O’Xeill, C. Stembridge, A. North, F. Thorp, H. Thorp, W. H. Wight, G. Wilson and V.
