ARCHBISHOP DEAD
DR. WILLIAM BARRY, OF HOBART MELBOURNE. Friday. The death has occurred of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Hobart, Dr. William Barry, aged 59. Dr. Barry, who was Coadjutor-Arch-bishop, succeeded to the see of Hobart on the death of Dr. Delany in 1926. He was born at Midleton, County Cork, and educated at All Hallows College. Dublin. He became a priest in IS9S, and was at St. Mary's Cathedral, Sydney, from 1899 to 1906, and at Ohatswood, Sydney, from 1906 to 1919.
