ALL BLACKS’ EXTRA HALF
HPHE selection of J. Tuck, formerly of Hamilton, and now residing at Wellington, for that much-cov-eted position of extra half-back for the All Blacks is another example of the fact that it pays promising footballers to live in the b i g centres. Tuck, a very useful inside I man who can play a good game | either at half or five-eighth, lived at Hamilton until about two weeks ago, when he removed to Wellington, where has has apparently come under the selectors* notice. Tuck played for Waikato against Auckland on June 4 last and gave a solid exhibition. He also played for Waikato against Auckland at Hamilton and Auckland last sea--u H ®. w , a s educated at the Hamilton High School, where, as a Rugby player, he gave early promise.
