MRS. H. A. JOHNSON For many years a resident of Devonport, Airs. Honora Ann Johnson died this week at the age of 91. Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Mr. C. Johnson, of Epsom, and Mr. H. TJohnson, of Remuera, and two daughters, Airs. W. J. Runciman, of Mount Eden, and Airs. A. Leaf, of Alatakohe. There are 19 grandchildren, 19 greatgrandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. MR. D. M. MATHESON Well-known throughout the North Auckland district. Air. Donald Alunro Alatheson, of Kaimamakau, near Whakapara, has died at the age of 79. Born at Nova Scotia, Mr. Alatheson came to New Zealand with his parents in the ship Ellen Lewis in 1860, arriving at Auckland, and at once proceeding to Waipu. After a few years the family moved to Hikurangi. where Air. Alatheson had lived ever since. Air. Matheson was well-known for his hospitality and his death will be mourned by a very large circle of friends. He is survived by his wife, and a grown-up family of eight. There are 26 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
