SCHOOL UNIFICATION

GOVERNMENT’S PROPOSAL CONFERENCE TO BE CALLED (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Today. A new solution of the problem regarding school sites in Hamilton was advanced by the Hon. H. Atmore, Minister of Education, in a statement to a member of the Technical High School Hoard yesterday. He indicated that the whole Question would have to be considered in the light of the Government’s policy of unifying educational control. If the High School and Technical School were under one control he emphasised there could be no question of the one having an abundance 6f playing room and the other being starved. In that respect he also made it clear that the Government intended taking active measures to bring about the unification of both primary and secondary school authorities. though it would not act by compulsion, but by calilng a conference of all concerned.
