“INTERFERENCE” TOMORROW This evening sees the final presentation at the New Regent Theatre of the thrilling drama, “Alias Jimmy Valentine,” starring Leila. Hyams and William Haines. Lovers of the legitimate stage will not have to wish for a trip to London to fulfil their desire, for London literally has been brought to them. The reason for this is “Interference,” the all-talking motion-picture produced by Para-
mount, which will be the feature attraction at the Regent from tomorrow. The cast includes a list of popular favourites in the leading roles. They are Evelyn Brent, Clive Brook, William Powell, and Doris Kenyon. “Interference” is a Paramount sound
j film, and boasts talking scenes from j beginning to end. It is the first stage i success to be presented as an all-talk-i ing motion picture. The stage version was first presented in London', where it ran for two years. The New York engagement consisted of a run of over nine months. Roland Pertwee and Harold Dearden wrote the play, with Ernest Pascal preparing the dialogue for the ; screen talking version. Roy J. Pomeroy, Paramount’s master of sound effects, directed. Pomeroy is one of the leading technical men now making audible motion pictures, having been engaged in research and • experimental work for Paramount during the past three years.
