DOMINION ROAD TRAM EXTENSION

Sir, — Sine© coming to Auckland it has frequently been pointed out to me that Dominion Hoad is the longest straight street in the Dominion. However correct this may be, I am not in a position to argue, but I am quite convinced that our new Transport Board considers it to be a very long street, be it straight or crooked. They have nowdecided to divide it into tramway sections, which either proves the street to be very long, or the sections particularly short. Can any of yor correspondents enlighten me on this point? IMPOSITION.
