Visiting Footballers' Gay Evening DINNER PRECEDES DANCE PARTY After a dinner last evening at the Royal Hotel, given by the Auckland Students' Association, combined with the University Football Club, the Australian University footballers went dancing. They enjoyed a particularly bright evening at Dixieland. An adjournment was later made to the Commercial Grill Doom. where numerous other parties joined in the fun and frolic. Among those who danced at Dixieland were: Miss Jean MacCormiek. who wore a pretty frock of pompadour pink georgette dipping to the back. Miss Alice Adams. whose uneven length frock of peach coloured georgette was inset with gold lace. Miss Ailsa Lewis, wearing a clv.c black rhinestone embroidered taffeta gown with deep hem of cyclamen. Miss Joan Robertson, who wot- a bouffant period gown of black taffeta. Miss Beech Hardie-Xeil, in a dainty amethyst chiffon frock. Miss Audrey Alison, whose petalled georgette frock was of shrimp pink. Miss Jean Hudson, who wore a lilac tinted georgette frock. Miss Barbara Pearce, in a bouffant frock of honey beige tulle. Miss Iris Hale, who wore her pretty frock of flowered primrose taffeta with frilled, georgette skirt. Miss Constance Young, who was in a turquoise green frock of uneven length. Miss Ruth Owen, wearing a gown of black georgette, diamante trimmed. Miss Leila Maher, who had chosen cyclamen taffeta and lace. Miss Parry, whose frilled tulle frock was of the prettiest shade of came.* pink. Miss Olive Bickerton, who was wearing a smart black frock, embroidered with rhinestones. Miss McConnell, who was in a frock of leaf green taffeta. Miss Marjorie Cerutty and Miss Eileen Adkins, who wore their Empire Ball gowns of nile green taffeta. Miss Pauline McConnell, who was in a black and silver gown. Miss Fox, wearing an uneven length gown of black georgette. Miss B. Fox, wearing flesh pink georgette with a deep shadow hem of black and silver lace. Miss Myrtle Warren, who was in lacquer red georgette.
