TIVOLI AND EVERYBODY’S
COLLEEN MOORE TOMORROW
This evening sees the final screening at both Tivoli and Everybody’s Theatres of the double-feature programme, which includes “Love .and the Devil,” starring Maria Corda and Milton Sills in a tale of an English explorer’s Jove for
Italian opera singer, also “The Night Bird,” Reginald Benny's latest comedy, a boxing story. “This isn’t ISS9, Pop—it’s 1929, and everything’s different!” This title from a heated argument | between father and daughter is the keynote of the theme of “Why Be Good?” CoUeen Moore’s latest screen story, which comes to these theatres tomorrow. The inability of an older generation to understand the
one which follows has always been the cause of family
dissension, whether the year be 1.929 or 1889, according 1 to Carey Wilson, author of “Why Be Good?” In this picture the argument is taken up both seriously and humourously. Miss Moore enacting a decidedly modern young girl, whose father is scandalised by her broadminded attitude.
Opposite Miss Moore in “Why Be Good?” is Xeil Hamilton.
At both theatres a second big attraction will be shown in Hoot Gibson’s latest tale, “King of the Rodeo,” a fast-moving “Western” story with a background of the big Chicago Rodeo.
