Shore Leaguers Again

Will Meet Richmond in Feature Game at Carlaw Park Tomorrow

City and Newton to Meet in Curtain-Raiser

THE invincible Shore League action in the feature gan when they meet Richmond. E open game. According to th two changes in its side whiei more, while Richmond will fief keen to turn the tables.

With its last season’s hooker, St. George, back in the fold, Shore will probably see more of the ball in the scrum downs than Richmond, and it is this fact alone, for it will assist the deadly attacking Shore rear guard i n its snappy passing bouts, which may trouble the youthful Richmondites more than anything else. While last Saturday’s game was a dour struggle from whistle to whistle and for the most part kept the large attendance of fans on its feet, tomorrow’s game, promising a more open style of play, indicates a still more interesting tussle. As a curtain-raiser to the big game, City will meet Newton, and as both these sides have only suffered defeat once this season a good game may be expected, although with the veteran Dufty in action again, City will probably find the Newton back line very troublesome. On No. 2 ground Ponsonby will meet Kingsland, when the latter team will be strengthened a good deal by the services of the international half-back, Tim Peckham, who has been transferred from the Ponies. On this ground also, Marists will try conclusions with Ellerslie.
