MEETING OF SOCIETY There was a fair attendance of mem- j oers at the annual meeting 01 i.v Howick lie-ill -r e,, g Society, held on Friday evening. Tin report and balance-sheet were adopted. The thanks of the so--a tv were tendered to those who hail donated trees and seats. The cultivation ot the trees already planted in tiio streets and reserves was dealt with and a programme of future activities was arranged. Tho election of officers resulted: Patron, Mrs. Gilmou •; president, Canon 11 Mason: vice-presidents. Bishop Cleary, Father Downey, Or. Ross, th'* Rev. J. Mclntyre, Messrs. Allen. Burns, Judkins, Green, <ln wfoi d. M .Mi's. Morley Bell and .Miss Nixon: honorary secretary. Miss Motion: auditor. Mr. Newtoi ten. Church, Mosdames Mason. Amiss. Misses Wann, Jay, Rathborn, and Moll wraith.
