SENIOR B STRUGGLES The competition in the new Senior B grade continues close and exciting, and promises to be a great race for the . first possession of the Skerrett Memorial Clip and promotion to full seniority. With a team greatly weakened by the prevailing ’flu, the Rangers met defeat for the first time on Saturday, Corinthians with naval aid winning by three to nil. Manurewa maintained its unbeaten record after winning a hard game against Newmarket. also by 3-0. Philomel had a tough tussle with Northcote, the odd goal in three giving the naval side the victory, and Metropolitan put up its best performance of the season by running Tamaki to the odd gaol in five.
