DEAD WIFE'S VOICE
TRAGEDY OF SOMNAMBULIST’S DREAM How a somnambulist who dreamed that he heard his dead wife calling him followed the imaginary call to his death was revealed at an inquest as Winchester, England, on Mr. William Haines, aged 89, who was found lying injured in his garden early in the morning and died in hospital. Mr. Haines, it was stated, said to a relative during periods of consciousness. “I thought I heard my wife calling for me ” While still asleep he climbed through the window, walked along a balcony and fell. He had been discovered sleep-walking before. The verdict was accidental death.
