ELECTRIC SOCCER
WEDNESDAY NIGHT’S GAME SCOTTISH V. THE WORLD It is unfortunate that previous engagements arranged by the naval squadron prevent the apparance of the popular men-o’-war team on Wednesday evening, but a special attraction has been arranged between players of Scottish birth and those of all other countries combined. Scotland is the cradle of the modern Soccer game, and the local representatives are all clever and finished exponents of the code who learned the game on their native heath. The combined team of Sassenachs colonial-born and others, are equally good at the game in their varying styles, and a rousing encounter is certain for the next fascinating night game on Wednesday. The match may also be regarded as a try-out for the coming representative games, in view of the possibility of Auckland meeting Wellington on King’s Birthday, the sole selector.* Mr. Phil Neesham, has chosen the following for Wednesday evening’s game:--Scotland. —Chesney, Ferguscm, Re»a. J. Morrison. Christie, Fyffie. Dunsmore, Hamilton, Hislopand.KaTThe Rest.— Batty, Gerrard. Siinpaoj Tinkler, Gilmore, Jones, D ** phreys, Spencer, Williams and MUa.
