Fagg, J p ’s morning, with obtaining goods' to the f V i a om F £ k l4s 6d b 7 fafse Pretences guilty. r ’ COUry ' Accused pleaded Constable Chestnutt said the man while in a drunken condition, obtained some clothing from Coury Bros., saying he had £l3 or £l4 coming to 'him from the Public Works at Wanganui. Ml-. Hermans, officer-in-charge, was communicated with, and it was found there was only £4 due and that was mortgaged for board. The man had been about the town drinking. Accused said he thought there would be £l3 or £l4 coming to him from some contract work. Accused was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment.
