“SO SAY ALL OF US”

A FTER congratulating Mr. J. Simkint owner of Reremai, on the mare’s fine victory, and handing him the handsome gold cup, Mr. F. Lye, M.P. for Waikato, said: “‘Judging by the interest and enthusiasm di-splayed in the Cambridge trotting fixture, the club should have another day’s racing.” This remark was received with loud applause, showing that the public was of the same opinion. Mr. Lye paid a tribute to the fine reinsmanship of Driver Geo. Mitchell, who was the recipient of a gold-mounted whip, to mark his Cup success.
