*V\7HILE backers of Rockaway ’’ were indulging in jubilant hand-shaking and elbow-bending after the saddle event on Saturday, i they little knew how close they were to being robbed of the double-figure dividend. Elated and excited rider Nightingale hopped off the winner and was about to leave the birdcage without weigh-ing-in when a gentle reminder just in time saved the situation. It was a close call, and the horseman was reprimanded by the judiciary for his seemingly thoughtlessness.
